2011 BMW 335i N55/I had my belt shred to pieces need some help and or advice
Hello guys I was just needing a second opinion on what I should go forward with my car it’s a 2011 BMW E92 N55 I recently had the belt rip to shreds and some of it did make its way a little into the crank seal I pulled the pieces already just to see how long they were and they weren’t very long so hopefully I got lucky. But the thing is I’ve been reading someone else’s post on here and they said if the belt shreds it’s always best to take off the valve cover to check the timing chain to make sure no belt debris is in there and also the oil to make sure that the oil pick up tube isn’t clogged with belt debri as well. One more thing I also seen someone’s post that they’re belt shredded as well but they got lucky to were it didn’t even go into the crank seal I also have pictures of the seal right now let me know y’all’s options please and thanks much appreciated.
